Western journalists noticed a surprising pattern in the actions of Russia in Donbass and Syria. All right, the partners’ hands are tied. If they try to defend themselves they are accused of violating the "peace agreements", are beginning to twist arms and demand to be more constructive. So it was with Ukraine after Minsk and so is happening with the free Syrian army. And it is unlikely that Western observers would have paid attention to this coincidence, if not for the start of mass destruction of the civilian population by Putin and Assad.

This is really a good tactic — because the Western partners of Vladimir Putin are premised on the assumption that the Russian President wants the same as they- it is peace.

And this is a misconception. Putin does not want peace. He wants war, because in a peaceful situation Putin is completely helpless. Especially now when he has less and less money. Let's imagine that Ukraine the peace will be established. It is only conditionally possible to assume that Putin will retain his influence in the Donbass. He has no money to rebuild destroyed by the Russians region. But the West has. Or imagine that Syria will seek a peaceful settlement. Does Russia have the money to rebuild Syria? But in the West they are available.

No other strategy but to generate instability he has not and cannot be — because there are no funds for something else. And the army, Putin spent a lot of money and now looking for the use of their investments. And he finds.

Perhaps after Aleppo Western politicians and observers realize that in Minsk, Putin didn’t want the peace. And that the Minsk agreements are really good only for the economic exhaustion of Russia. What is imposed in Ukraine or Syria — it's not even a "hybrid world", a simulation of finding a solution for a single goal- the continuation of the war.
